Minutes

16/11/13- We got into our groups for the first time and we had a brain storm of ideas for the film. We then spilt up the list of roles on the Production Schedule between each other and we got on with them roles. Jack started deconstructing an opening sequence, George got the certificate sheet done and I created and sent out our survey.

14/11/13- Jack has already completed 2 opening sequence deconstructions and 2 genre deconstructions. George and I have done 1 deconstruction each; we now have 4 deconstructions completed. So far we have 18 responses at the moment and it appears comedy and crime is the two favourite genres so far.

21/11/13- We have got a lot more work completed now. Harrison has completed the conventions of our genre and of titles which has gone up onto all the blogs. Jack has done another genre and film opening deconstruction and George has done the conventions of film openings. We have received a lot more responses only 22, crime is the clear favourite now and we have seen as increase in people aged 30+ answering the survey. Today we are getting out with deconstruction.

12/12/13- 31 survey responses now and we have finalised that we are doing a crime genre. Harrison and George have completed all of our deconstructions; Jack still has 1 to complete. Harrison has now completed the survey analysis and we have started to think about the plot for our novel. We spent the majority of the lesson brainstorming what our plot would be

16/12/13- We have now have completed 10 deconstructions and have nearly completed 5 genre deconstructions jack still has 2 to complete. George had completed the costume sheet over the weekend and Harrison had created the plot summary. Today we started the storyboarding process and we are now reaching the end of the pre production.

19/12/13- Today we are finalising all pre-production to put onto our blog as pre-production is due in tomorrow the 20th of December. Storyboards have been completed and upload as has the script and plot synopsis. We have effectively finished our planning process and at the end of the lesson we mind mapped ideas for our film.
06/01/14- Today we have been editing some of the shots taken for the montage scene of the main character getting ready and also brainstorming for the car scene. Filming so far has gone smoothly and we are very happy with the quality of the footage. Jack has filled out the health and safety form for us to be able to film the running scene as the cameraman would be hanging out of a car boot.

13/01/14-We have now filmed some of the scenes of the main character getting ready and the establishing shot of London has also been done. The film is starting to take shape now and all we need to shoot is the car scene. Today we brainstormed more ideas for the car scene and one idea that we thought was very good was to show a red traffic light in the car scene to foreshadow danger.

27/01/14- Today we have been re looking at the needs of our target audience to see if what we have filmed so far fits their needs. We have also shown what we have filmed so far to our focus group and they liked what they saw. They said the flashback at the start that shows how the film ends was very interesting and made them want to see the rest of the film. The rough cut is due in on Friday and we have been editing and preparing for that, we are doing is final piece of filming on Thursday and then we should have a full rough cut.

12/02/14- Today we have been looking at the feedback our focus group gave us on the rough cut and brainstorming ideas to improve the film to fulfil their needs. I have been looking at some different production and distribution companies that i think would produce/distribute our film. I have also been looking at how the different social groups are represented in crime genres. During half term we have planned to do the filming of our final cut.

25/02/14-Filming went well over half term and we are happy with the footage, the film is begging to take shape now.

03/03/14- More filming took place today and we have changed our plot slightly due to our responses received from our focus group. We all agree that the new plot is much better and are very happy with the changes that have been made.

07/03/14- Editing has been taking place today of the films latest footage, we have been looking at cross-cutting and parallel editing to see if we can make our film more exciting through our editing

12/03/14- Today we recorded the voice overs for our film in the music technology room, this went very smoothly and were are all very happy with the quality of the recordings.

19/03/14- Finally editing of the film has taken place as the deadline is in 2 days!! Things are looking very promising and we are all very happy with the film and are excited to see what grade we get for it.

21/03/14-The film is finally finished!!! After shooting the final bit of footage and adding the titles for columbia pictures into the film, the project is finally done. We are very happy with the final product and have just shown it to some members of our focus group and received some really positive feedback.

26/03/14- We have been tidying up our blogs today and peer assessing each others in the group to ensure we all have the right about of work on our blogs. We discovered that some bits of pre-production were missing like the shot list and we quickly rectified this by completing this task.

02/04/14- We have been working our evaluations today in class and discussing what production and distribution companies we would be using.

04/04/14- Today we have been preparing what last minute work we have got to do over easter to improve our blogs and how we are going to creatively present our work. We are nearly there everything is nearly finished
