Intertextual Reference: Trainspotting

The intertexutal reference we are going to include within our 2 minute film opening is the series of shots from Danny Boyle's film Trainspotting. The shot is of the principle characters legs running towards the camara. We have selcted to use this shot and adpat it to give our own personal touch as we feel that it fits in well with our plot and applys the typical conventions of a crime film as in both scenes form both films the characters are fleeing from a crime scene. The series of shots, capturing the principle characters legs running run througout the majority of our opening scene, showing a close up of his legs and traininers, similar to trainspotting. The shot is used to show the speed the characters are running at, emphasising the fact they are fleeing from a crime scene and representing the desperateness of the charactes.
