Voice Over Recording
We used the a voice over I our final film. The voice over explained the situation of Trey (principle character) and enabled us to explain the narrative and aid the audience understanding of the storyline and character, this being important as it is the opening two minutes of the film. We recorded the voice overs that we inserted over the top of our footage, using the schools recording studio, with the help of a Music Technology student who showed us how the recording programme and equipment worked.
We had originally used a microphone plugged into a computer. However this gave us poor quality of sound and during our focus group feedback, we were told that the sound was hard to hear and sounded very unprofessional. Therefore, we contacted a technology student who kindly offered to help us re-record our sound during a lunchtime.
